I’ve been working in PR, marketing and events for nearly a decade. I started my professional career in my mid-20s. After university, I took a few years to backpack the globe, but started to crave more direction and looked for a career that allowed me to write, plan events and utilize my creative mind. After a fateful coffee with a friend, I discovered the world of PR and the rest is history.
My career starting with interning at well-regarded Toronto festivals and after paying my dues, I started working with creative marketing agencies and impactful not-for-profits. Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a plethora of clients including big brands like Tresemme, Dove, Vaseline and Gay Lea and associations, such as the Canadian Health Food Association, Canada Beef and Restaurants Canada.
In 2016, I started up my own food tour business, which opened my eyes on the challenges and excitement of your running your business. I loved the experience and after the agency I was working with closed, I made the exciting step to go fully freelance.
I haven’t looked back! My recent projects have included working with a restaurant association to develop their conference content plan and recruiting speakers, helping a financial start-up get media attention for their cannabis investment tool and auditing and revamping a leadership consultant’s website and LinkedIn profile.
So what I can bring to your business? I’m an out-of-the box thinker, with an underlying curiosity that drives me to continually discover new strategic opportunities, contacts and ideas. I’m an extrovert who excels at building relationships and working collaboratively across departments and teams. I’m innately organized and (nerdily) love building out timelines, budgets and project plans.
